Ossining Village Historian Joyce Sharrock Cole discovered and researched the story of Sparta resident Captain Lewis Brady. On June 7, she changed the lives of the Brady family descendants by sharing the Captain's story of resilience, freedom and community, right here in Sparta where it all happened.
